Some of the land grants included are the Maxwell Land Grant, the Mora Land Grant, and the Preston Beck Land Grant. William Blackmore was a British entrepreneur who promoted British and Dutch investment in Southwestern land. He began his career as a representative of English mining interests in New Mexico after the Civil War. He developed investment ventures in Colorado and New Mexico.
